X-WR-CALDESC:\nSaturday July 5th Comedy Club Night - 7.30 doors for 8pm start  Featuring: Bennett Arron, Raymond and Mr Timpkins Revue, Steve N Allen with compere Spiky Mike.\nBennett Arron\nBennett Arron is an award-winning writer, actor and stand-up comedian and is the only Jewish/Welsh comedian on the Comedy Circuit. He recently supported Ricky Gervais on some of his tour dates.\nBennett recently presented the documentary The Kosher Comedian for the BBC. He has performed on Loose Ends, Not Tonight With John Sergeant, Glee Time (in which he hosted a series of six stand-up comedy shows), Large (a satirical sketch show for the BBC), Never Write Off The Germans (a panel game show for Radio 2) three series of What's The Story (a panel game show for BBC Wales) and he was a Presenter on Big Brother's Little Brother. Bennett is also a trained actor and appeared in the film Dead Long Enough alongside Michael Sheen.\nHe has written for many comedy programmes, including Hit The Road Jack and the BAFTA winning V Graham Norton. (No need to 'Strap in" though as that's a comedy cliche too far along with "Give me a cheer if you…." and "Who doesn't give a shit if they've been here before?" etc.)\nNot really stand up and not really circus but all cabaret and that really should be enough for you.\n(Website: www.raymondandmrtimpkins.co.uk)\n \nSteve N Allen\n\nSteve's stand-up has taken a path through being a BBC New Comedy semi-finalist, Laughing Horse New Act finalist and Amused Moose Hot Starlet, on to performing at The Comedy Store, The Glee Club, Leicester Square theatre and The Comedy Cafe.\nSteve has performed different versions of his topical comedy one-man show, The SomeNews Live Show, at several comedy festivals including Edinburgh, Manchester, Leicester, Brighton and Nottingham.\nPress Quotes\n"Allen hits the mark, with an effusive mix of biting satire and gleeful mud-slinging that recalls Russell Howard by way of Ian Hislop.
