Saturday February 1st
Comedy Club Night - 7.30 doors for 8pm start
Featuring: Dave Thompson, Angie McEvoy and Paul F Taylor with compere Spiky Mike.
Stand-up veteran Dave Thompson is probably best known for playing Tinky-Winky in the Teletubbies – especially after he was sacked in July 1997 because the BBC thought his interpretation of the role was 'unacceptable'.
As a live act, he has worked in the USA, Sweden, France, Ireland, Holland, The Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Croatia, Dubai, Oman, and The Falklands as well as on the British circuit. His absurdist physical humour led Ben Elton to write a role for him in his 2000 movie Maybe Babe, as Dave The Comedian, aka Mrs. Furblob.
His other regular appearances include the semi-regular character 'Dave' in Al Murray's sitcom Time Gentlemen Please, and a handful of adverts.
He is also a regular collaborator with Harry Hill, making several appearances on ITV's The All New Harry Hill Show, Shark Infested Custard and TV Burp! and playing various roles in his stage shows Wild Horses and Hooves.
He has written for TV Burp! and ITV's The Sketch Show, co-written Boothby Graffoe's four Radio 4 series, and supplied material to several other stand-ups.

"Her conversational delivery is a treat but the chatty tone conceals some surprisingly cutting routines" The Guardian
Angie McEvoy has a sweet and laid back stage persona, fused with a dry and cutting wit. She regularly performs, either as compere or performing a set in major venues around the UK, such as Highlights, The Glee and Jongleurs.
Angie launched her career at the Edinburgh Festival in 2000, when she was voted runner-up in the BBC New Comedy Awards. She has since become a very skilled performer and achieved critical acclaim.
Angie's festival credits include Leicester Comedy Festival, Belfast Comedy Festival, London Respect Festival, Latitude Festival and Edinburgh Festival (Big Value Show). She's also performed in Amsterdam and Berlin as part of the OTK Road Show and at the Annual Funny Women Gala in March, to celebrate International Women's Day.
In May 2005 Angie made history by being the first female comedienne (of any nationality) to perform stand-up in Russia, (with a translator...it's a long story).
Angie's many radio and TV appearances include Woman's Hour (BBC Radio 4), Jeremy Vine Show (BBC Radio 2), LBC, regular on appearances on BBC London and Richard & Judy (Ch4), The World Stands Up (Paramount Comedy), BBC New Comedy Awards, Brain Candy and BBC Stars of Tomorrow.
She has made appearances on Richard & Judy (Ch4) discussing subjects as diverse as the Modern-Day Mother-In-Law Joke, 1930's Advice for Young Brides and the 'Good Idea a Day' Website. She was a regular contributor to the Vanessa Feltz Show (BBC London) and has appeared on The Jeremy Vine Show (BBC Radio 2) RI:SE (Ch4) and the LBC Weekend Breakfast Show. She also appeared on and wrote material for the Topical News Quiz 'Pilau Talk' for Anglia Television.
Always enjoyable...Angie McEvoy deserves her own TV show.......My favourite new comedian by Miles. Time Out Magazine

"Brilliantly funny nonsense... An unhinged, dizzying but quality hour... Great stuff!" - The List
"an enticing, dizzying prospect, who whips through a welter of daft, Harry Hill-like ideas and diversions and chucks characters around with the agility of the Pajama Men" The Independent
"For a genuinely distinctive set, look no further than Paul F Taylor, who talks about everyday observations but with a wonderful edge of surrealism" - Chortle
