Alfie Moore

Alfie MooreAlfie is an original and distinctive comedian with his niche area as a serving police sergeant. He came slightly later to comedy and brings a wealth of insights and comedy moments from his eighteen years on the beat, where a keen sense of humour has been the key to his success and survival!

Born and raised on a council estate in Sheffield he was an apprentice in the steelworks before joining the Police.

Alfie was inspired to take up stand-up comedy in 2007 after his first taste of live comedy at a local comedy club. He quickly became well and truly hooked and was soon performing regularly up and down the country.

He has twice written and performed his own one-man show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival where they have each run for the full 22 nights. He has also supported Sarah Millican, Russell Kane and Milton Jones on their national comedy tours. In 2011 Alfie was one of the stars of ITV1′s Show Me The Funny and wrote and presented ‘Alfie Moore’s Almanac’ for BBC Radio. Most recently he has been featured in BBC3′s Bizarre Crime.

Alfie has an observational comedic style, which lends itself to witty, and sometimes gritty, anecdotes based on everyday modern policing.

George Egg

george egg sm"A hugely entertaining variety turn" The Guardian

Wildly brandishing the worlds' second largest briefcase containing a battery of ridiculous props, George bounds onto the stage to perform one of the most original, interesting, innovative, and sweetly whimsical comedy performances you are ever likely to see. He has been hailed as 'a Tommy Cooper for the twenty first century' and through tears of laughter you'll see why. A true cross between alternative stand-up comedy and music hall variety.

George Egg has been a professional stand-up comedian for the last two decades. He has an extremely successful solo show with which he has toured in Germany, Switzerland, Holland, Belgium, Spain, Austria, France and of course extensively in the United Kingdom, both on the stage and on the television, and more recently has been the support act for Lee Mack, Mickey Flannagan and Jack Dee.

Ben Schofield

ben-schofieldsmBen Schofield first performed as a comedian in 2001. Hailing from Bradford, he was, from an early age, to foster a keen sense of humour as a simple defence mechanism. His predilection for mirth-making thrives to this day, which, considering he still lives in Bradford, is just as well.

Ever since his first tentative steps into comedy before a home crowd in Bradford he has performed to audience and critical acclaim in venues across the north of England. A dyed-in-the-wool rocker, he has imbued his performances with his rock and roll spirit, producing a dynamic, colourful (and really quite loud) act that is guaranteed to entertain.

In 2002 he reached the televised semi-final of the BBC New Comedy Awards, only for his progress to be hampered by the London audience inexplicably taking objection to having a hairy Northerner shouting at them. Undeterred, he continued to preach his gospel to all who would listen, building a deserved reputation as an exciting and engaging comic performer, whilst vowing never to enter a competition again. Such was the piety with which he upheld this vow that in 2004 he reached the regional finals of the J2O/Jongleurs competition.

A scatologically cerebral comic thinker with a keen eye for the absurd, he boastfully maintains the unique record of being the only comedian in the world (to his knowledge) to have written a joke about galvanising dustbins. This surely stands as a testament to his ability to mine comedy gold from even the most unlikely of seams.

With countless performances in top northern venues, residencies at several established and respected comedy nights (including the Hyena Lounge at The Original Oak, Headingley and the Saturday Session at The HiFi Club, Leeds) and several television appearances (including Stand Up Britain for ITV) already under the considerable girth of his belt, he is all set to ignite a comedy venue near you soon. Come and join him for the ride.

Kiri Pritchard McClean

kiri pritchard mc-clean smKiri's is a show of bitter-sweet anecdotes about childhood and relationships, relayed with a dry wit that's just this side of sardonic. It's a show peppered with some well-crafted dark punchlines that are nicely set amongst some more life affirming stories. Kiri also has a natural talent for performing, and these small physical touches add greatly to the material.
