X-WR-CALNAME:"NOT" The Edinburgh Fringe Festival
X-WR-CALDESC:\nSaturday July 14thFeaturing: Rhodri Rhys, Marc Lucero, Tommy Rowson and compere Spiky Mike.\nRhodri Rhys\nRhodri Rhys has moved swiftly since joining the comedy circuit and can now be seen regularly as an act and compére in London, across the UK and internationally.\nBefore becoming a comedian Rhod qualified as a Chartered Surveyor and became a property entrepreneur in Eastern Europe. From 1990 to 2002 he lived in Prague enjoying business success and the unique hedonistic social life of that interesting era!\nHis skill in performing developed during these years when he lectured on property, hosted and compéred at regular business, diplomatic and charity events and went on to perform alongside established visiting British comedians. Encouraged by these performers, and with a hat full of plundered east European gold, he moved back to London to pursue a comedy career.\nRhodri has been the subject of a number of TV and radio programmes in Welsh, Czech and English (S4C, TV Nova, BBC Wales). He has done comedy gigs in Warsaw, Moscow, New York, Budapest, Prague and Bahrain.\nWith a business and commercial background, he is also in demand for corporate work (Promax Advertising Awards, RICS Eastern Europe Forum, Prague Chamber of Commerce).\nRhodri's act combines sharp wit and observation with a natural geniality. His material is broad and colourful, drawing on his own experiences in his unusual path to a comedy career, while deftly seaming in religion, business, sport and history too.\n(images and bio taken from Website: www.comedycv.co.uk)\n \nMarc Lucero\nOver the past fifteen or so years Marc has performed upwards of some two thousand gigs. As well as appearing in more West End venues than any other act in history he has also gigged in Hong Kong, Paris, Cologne, Berlin, Nice, Holland and most recently the Canary Islands. Marc has two of the finest reviews on the industry website Chortle.\nOther projects include the well received 2006 Edinburgh show Fear of Ironing and was responsible for the 2002 World Cup single Getting Up For England. Currently appearing in art centres and clubs nationwide Marc also finds time to play bass with the fab Deptford garage band Dirty Viv.\n(images and bio taken from Marc's Website: www.marclucero.co.uk)\n \nTommy Rowson\nWinner of So You Think You're Funny 2011.\n(More info on: www.ginriot.com)\n \n \nAbout our comedy shows: We book everything from total beginners on our new act gong shows, to big league pro acts.
