The Petebox + friends, 10am - 6pm
Bartons are hosting their own mini music festival from Friday to Sunday 24th to 26th August.
On the 26th we're hosting a gig by The Petebox, who's performed Glastonbury, V Festival, Reading and Leeds Festival amoungst others.
About The Petebox:
Having toured extensively with the likes of artists as varied as Jay Sean, Foreign Beggars and Diversity and showcasing his unique approach to beatboxing and music creation at many of the countries major festivals and live venues throughout the world, THePETEBOX has carried momentum in full swing over 2011-2012.
Introducing himself to the world of youtube, his first hd video of his reinterpretation of Pixies classic ‘Where Is My Mind’ went viral, amassing over 1.8 million views and counting and receiving accolades from Blink 182’s bassist Mark Hopper, MTV US and the Pixies themselves who put it on their website.
This has set the foundations for THePETEBOX’s first studio album, which is completed and ready for release in a unique way – he is releasing each track as live videos on youtube leading to the official album release in April 2012, the first two singles of which have already amassed over 120,000 views in the first three weeks of release. To accompany the album approach, Pete's innovative live set has evolved further still and now features the use of effects, more loopers and a guitar to build layers into fully crafted tracks, integrating his award winning beatbox skills with the new setup to achieve stunning results.
Despite his hard work on the album, over 2011 Pete played all around the UK, Poland, Ayia Napa, Spain, France, Czech Republic, Ireland, Germany, Russia and Croatia, made a victorious return to Glastonbury, Reading/Leeds and V festivals and his recent UK headline minitour saw him sell out venues in Nottingham and London.
