He has made four records of what is loosely described as Alt. Country or Americana, yet there is something very British about him. As Time Out attests, “McNiff’s quiet, intimate, fragile-sounding vocals draw you into his world– a melancholy, almost timeless place, through which he drifts, a romantic loner, a dreamer, at home with the blues.” He is often touted as one of the UK's most overlooked musical treasures - a great songwriter and top-notch finger-style guitarist. His new album, April Cruel (Fledg’ling) was released in 2011.\nJASON McNIFF PRESS\n"One of the UK's best kept secrets"\n - Mojo\n"A triumph of English-Americana"\n - Time Out\n"The nearest thing out there to Bob Dylan and the Band"\n - Sean Rowley BBC Radio London \n"Dark songs of drunkenness and murder!"\n - The Independent \n"A troubadour and one of the best singer/songwriters we have in this country"\n - Morning Star \n"Not just a good songwriter, a truly great one"\n - Americana UK 9/10 \nAlbum of the Year for 2nd album Nobody's Son\n as voted for by the staff at Americana UK\nGet more info about Jason on his website: www.jasonmcniff.com\n\nStanley Ward\nLast year Stanley Ward released his first solo E.P titled "Myself to Blame" and has been a regular fixture on London's growing Americana scene. In the summer of 2011 Simon took his solo show over to the US where he played gigs in Nashville and the surrounding area of Tennessee. 2012 sees Simon set to release his first solo album as well as continuing to gig relentlessly across London with shows planned for elsewhere in Europe at the end of the year.\nwww.simonstanleyward.com\nPress: “There’s nobody in London closer to the true roots of country music than Simon Stanley Ward. He looks the part – complete with a straw cavalry hat and garish Garth Brooks shirt. He sounds the part, too. He has the affectations of the genre down to a tee. The plays of every professional country musician in the south of the United States must be written down in a book somewhere in Simon’s room. But most importantly, he has the soul and the wit. Simon Stanley Ward is a genuine article, fixed sharp and smart to take country music to the London masses.” Stephen Thomas, We Write Lists\n£7 on door, £5 online
