Nick Page

nick page smThis is me Nick Page. Comedian. I could put 'presenter' too, lots of comics do, although it's probably on a wish list for them. 'Former Presenter' is accurate for me. I used to front a proper show on the BBC and everything, but obviously messed that up through living like an idiot for most of my 30's. I do voiceover work, and radio, and I've written articles and a book (which is still being argued about by publisher and lawyer, due to my vengeful ex-wife).

I work in comedy clubs all over the UK circuit and the world. I do stuff for ex-pats, the military, posh people who can afford a comic at a private party, dodgy people who live on caravan parks. Anywhere with a microphone and an audience (and a chequebook). I tell stories about how I've messed up my life, stories with punchlines. Like Jokes really. But true. Trueish anyway. In the last 12 months I've gigged in Afghanistan, Dubai, Germany, Italy, Hungary, Romania, Cyprus, Greece, Egypt, Spain, China, HongKong, The Phillipines and Abu Dhabi. I headline for the major comedy clubs and tons of independedents and theatres. I can deal with a rowdy weekend club or a corporate gig without resorting to hackery and old jokes, I can work with a respectable art centre audience without being pointlessly sweary, and I can deal with a rambuncious military audience without crying!

All of this is just me saying I'm good so here are some quotes from other people saying I'm good:

'A Very Fine Man' - Jo Whiley, Radio 2

'Rogueish...Bearlike and with a host of barely believable stories about life, love and brushes with the law' - Guardian

'The very best story teller on the comedy circuit' - Rhod Gilbert

'One of the top 5 comics on the UK circuit' - Stylists Magazine

I won 'Best International Act' in the Welsh Comedy Awards, I've been a Guardian Arts 'pick of the week' a few times, I was the Hilton Foundation 'comedian in residence' until the recession meant they couldn't do that any more, and everyone I work for books me again and again. Also I'm a tidy house guest. If you're thinking of booking me for your club ask the other acts whose opinions you respect about me. If you're thinking of booking me for your corporate event I've been good enough for WPP, Madame Tussauds, Cricket, Rugby and Football Clubs, The Army, Navy and RAF, Cheltenham College, Windsor School, Universities up and down the land, Turbine companies, Builders, Plumbers, Electricians, Horse Trainers (really), Crown Green Bowlers, Estate Agents, Motor Manufacturers, Car Dealers and the world's biggest Skip Company, so it's all glamour!

Danny Buckler

danny bucklerDanny Buckler is fast establishing himself as one of the most popular performers in showbiz with a unique style that combines stand-up comedy, improvisation, story-telling, audience participation and the odd bit of magic.

Danny has travelled all over the world as a performer whether it's entertaining the troops in Bosnia, Belfast, The Falkland Islands and Diego Garcia or performing in comedy clubs in Germany, Austria and Singapore. Annette Fagon

Annette fagon smAnnette Fagon is a loud and engaging comic newcomer, making fast progress on the UK comedy circuit.

Growing up as that rare thing in the midlands of the 1980s, the daughter of a Jamaican newsagent mother, has clearly left its mark.

Despite years of child drama classes and theatre performances, Annette frustrated her mother by spending 6 years at university, leaving without a degree, and returning to work there for a further 2 years.

After a variety of odd jobs - disability support worker, theatre house manager, comedy club waitress - Annette took up an odder job, in stand up comedy 3 years ago.

Currently talking - loudly - about everything from hoodies and mobile phone habits to Beyonce's mental state, she has made rapid progress, appearing at theatres such as Nottingham Playhouse and comedy clubs such as Jongleurs - on the Upfront Café Tour.

Annette's early efforts have quickly created a buzz that led to a nomination as Best Newcomer at the 2006 BECA Awards and Midlands Stand Up Runner up 2007 There's more to come.

"With this sort of retro observational comedy, she's just like Peter Kay would be - well, if he were female, black and from Leicester" - CHORTLE
