moulin rouge nottingham

We really can’t say too much about this event yet. It will be in our larger TH Barton hall and will be a huge extravaganza as a build up to Christmas 2014. You will become a part of the Moulin Rouge and once through our seedy French night club entrance will be part of an evening you will never forget. This is a Christmas party with a difference. We will reveal more information in the middle of the year about this event which will take place week commencing 9th of December 2014.

theatre nottingham

Although we cannot at this stage confirm the exact dates of the all new National Theatre of Chilwell, the expectations are so great that we thought we would mention it here first. The company will be premiering a brand new show with epic proportions which will then go on the road to other theatres and it is hoped that we can start many shows at Bartons that go on to have a life of their own. Keep an eye on our social media for news on this project.

We hosted an unplugged music season in 2012 which was well received. This is essentially acoustic music in our Gallery space with our real ale bars. Due to Tram works we haven’t done this in 2013 but now we are back with an unplugged music night on the second Saturday of each month from August through to Christmas. The acts and tickets will be available to view from early May.

Our Not the Camden Market was fantastically popular in 2012 and many didn’t want it to stop even with the Tram works. However from July we are back on the first Sunday of each month with crafts, arts, stalls, music, coffees cakes and Sunday papers. We are open 10am to 4pm and include many independent stalls from locals and some from further away. The area is also under cover so there is no problem whatever the weather. I hope you will come along to look around and maybe if you are interested in taking a stall get in touch: 0115 925 7766.

comedy club nottingham

We started with a comedy Festival in 2012 and the comedy club has carried on ever since on the first Saturday of each month. We have hosted TV names and tour comedians but we also have an eye on the up and coming comedians. Typically we have 4 comedians on a comedy night so there is plenty of variety for everyone. contemporary art nottingham

The Carnival of Monsters is a massive arts festival which started in 2011. It is the largest floor space for any arts festival in the East Midlands and probably a good deal further afield than that. We pride ourselves on presenting huge, innovative, edgey works of art which is displayed in a setting that is not precious and allows people to wander and even scooot around the site (as people have done in the past). We include participation events like ‘The Big Draw’ as well as musical events during the show. If you are an artist wanting to become involved please contact us through our website and if you simply want to know more keep an eye on our social media for updates. 11th – 25th October 2014.

heritage bartons nottingham

Bartons Garage in Chilwell dates back to 1913 and our Heritage days have been hugely popular as the company has had such a massive effect on peoples lives in the area. This year we will be presenting a new slant to our Heritage event which is during the first half of Sept. Please keep an eye on press for more information on this look back into Nottingham's history.

film festival nottingham

This years NOT the Cannes film festival will be bigger than ever. In the past we have hosted themed driving films in our Drive in Cinema and inside we have performed all manner of films including silent films accompanied by live music from the brilliant Neil Brand. We offer bars and food during these events and look forward to this seasons event which we are hoping will have a Sci Fi theme. Provisionally this will be from 25th – 27th September 2014.
